1. Our approach
Dustline Apps (“we,” “us,” or the “developer”) limits the information handled by Vegetable Garden Journal (“the app”) to what its features need. Records you enter are generally stored locally on your device. No account is required.
2. Information handled by the app
- Planting, growth, harvest, task, and garden notes you enter
- Photos you select using your device's photo picker
These records stay on your device and are not sent to a server operated by the developer.
3. Third-party services
The app uses Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob) and Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) for advertising and consent management. These services may automatically collect or share approximate location inferred from IP address, app interactions, diagnostics, device identifiers, and other identifiers for advertising or marketing, analytics, fraud prevention, security, and compliance. Data is encrypted in transit.
Where required, UMP lets you make consent and privacy choices. Ads are not shown after the lifetime Premium upgrade is active.
The optional lifetime Premium purchase is processed by Google Play Billing. Google processes payment information; the app and developer do not receive your complete payment details.
4. Sharing and export
Only when you start an export or share action does selected information pass through the operating system's share interface to a destination you choose. The destination's own policy governs its copy.
5. Retention and deletion
Local data remains until you delete it in the app or uninstall the app. You must separately delete exported files or copies held by a sharing destination. Google's retention policies apply to advertising and purchase data it processes.
In the app, open Settings and choose Delete all records to remove gardens, plants, tasks, logs, harvests, and saved photos from your device. This cannot be undone. Google processes advertising and purchase data, so Google's retention and deletion policies apply to that data.
6. Children's privacy
The app is not directed to children under 13, and the developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
7. Security
The app is designed around local storage, and third-party service connections use encryption in transit. No electronic storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when features, law, or third-party services change. Material changes will be indicated by updating the date on this page.
